ORFÈVRE is a contemporary gallery for jewelry located in Düsseldorf, Germany. Since its foundation in 1969, the gallery has offered heirloom quality jewelry by various artists. From the beginning, the central focus of the gallery has been the innovation  and quality of the presented works and jewelry.

Since April 2020, Lisa Scherebnenko, a trained goldsmith and designer, has been the gallery’s director. She took over the gallery from Peter Hassenpflug, one of the 10 founders of ORFÈVRE. Peter Hassenpflug and  Marie Hassenpflug from Düsseldorf, Wilhelm Buchert from Kiel, Dietrich Bring from Berlin, Herbert Fischer from Schwäbisch Gmünd, Bernd Munsteiner from Stipshausen, Klaus Neubauer from Hamburg, Dieter Pieper from Lüdenscheid, Hadfried Rinke from Worpswede, Gisela Seibert-Philippen from Berlin and Heinrich Wildt from Worpswede were all artists and goldsmiths and founded ORFÈVRE with the purpose of selling their own jewelry.

They designed jewelry that was not merely the result of skillful craftsmanship, but of concept and & idea. The group questioned the conventions of jewelery and considered how jewelry made from traditional materials, such as gold, silver and precious stones could be worn in new ways and which materials could still be made into jewelry.

Lisa Scherebnenko continues this idea, which has become a tradition, and offers well-known and aspiring artists the opportunity to present and sell their jewelry at ORFÈVRE.
